Mission: The mission of the Culture Coalition is to draw on southern Rhode Island's rich and diverse culture assets in order to create a strong identity and establish the arts and history as highly visible elements of the region's identity

Goals: To build a strong, vibrant Culture Coalition that contributes to the success of its member organizations and provides valuable resources and networking opportunities. To develop and promote artistic and historical events that enhance cultural tourism and education in Rhode Island.

Historical Society
Museum and Library hours -- Tuesday, .Thursday, and Saturday, 1:00 - 4:00 pm. Tours on the half hour, last tour at 3:30. Recommended donation: Adults $5, Seniors & Students $3, 12 and under free. Group tours by appointment.
2 Museum of Primitive
Art and Culture
Museum is open Wednesdays 10am-2pm or by appointment
(May dates are the 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd, and 30th) $2 requested donation (free to members)
2 The Narragansett Towers Every Wednesday Dance Lessons. No partner necessary, we all switch partners throughout the class Two left feet and rhythmically challenged most welcome! With Sara Barker 6:00-6:45 Rumba 6:45-7:00 Practice 7:00-7:45 Hustle 7:45-8:00 Practice With Sue Davis: 8:00-9:00 Beginner Argentine Tango 10:00-10:30 Argentine Tango Practica Fees: $15 for 6:00-8:00 with Sara or $15 for 8:00-10:30 with Sue or $22 for the whole night (For 9:00-10:30 practica only, $5.00)
4 South County Museum South County Museum's Spring Hours - May, Fridays and Saturdays 10 am to 4 pm. Adults $6, Seniors $5, children 6-12 $3, Members free, Active duty military families free.
4 Smith's Castle Guided tours Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays in May -- noon, 1pm, 2pm, 3pm -- $6 adults, $3 children 6-12, under 6 and members free

Opening for the season May 5th. -- Open Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays 11 a.m. -- 4 p.m. Sundays 12 noon -- 4 p.m. Guided tours on the hour; last tour at 3 p.m. Closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

May Artists-in-Residence Program: Grounds open for painting and photography Thursday – Monday during Museum hours or by special arrangement. Artists may participate in our "Art in Bloom" exhibit and sale.

22 The Narragansett Towers Narragansett Historical Society presents a talk by Richard Vangermeersch Narrragansett Sachem, Canonchet. Dedication of Canonchet statue at 6:30 at his statue on the green by the gazebo and the talk immediately following at The Towers Free and open to the public
